Buccaneers Defense
・2-manー17.9%
Blitz rate

Tampa’s coverage rates in SB LV —
• Cover 2 — 41.1%
• Quarters — 25.0%
• 2-Man — 17.9%
• Cover 3 — 12.5%
• Cover 1 — 3.6%
Blitz rate — 10.7%
Dime package(=6DBs)

This jumped out when looking at the tape & the numbers.
Tampa’s Dime snaps (6 DBs) vs. KC —
• Week 12 = 1
• SB LV = 10
That’s where we saw 5-man zone pressure from Todd Bowles + 4-man stunts to heat-up the pocket vs. Mahomes. @NFLMatchup pic.twitter.com/Uv5ISYwNHB
The Bucs 3 safety 3-2-6 package on third downs surprised the Chiefs and shut them down. The Bucs had run some form of Dime on just 8 snaps in the regular season just .8% of the time!
— Alex Rollins (@AlexRollinsNFL) 2021

More Overload front twist game from the Bucs. This time a nice 3 man game opposite the overload. Coverage here is impressive. The shallow from 2 is cut by the LB allowing the Nickel to rob the crosser from the weak side. pic.twitter.com/8Ry1Dy3idk

3rd down situationでの、2 man(deepを2人、underneathをman cover), 3-2-6 personnelについて説明されている。
Another snap of 2 Man from the Bucs and you can see their 3rd down gameplan here.

3-2 personnel keeping White and David on the field, whichever way the RB releases the opposite LB will then spy Mahomes and add on to the rush.

Here’s UGA defensive assistant Glenn Schumann talking about the necessity to play with a “Mirror” player vs QBs that can create vs tight coverage on 3rd down. Aggressive spy attacks after flushing the QB instead of your usual twist games out of four down. https://t.co/jUqsbNFavi pic.twitter.com/2X9bcgYT0B

Buccaneersは2 manを、1st downと2nd downで11回も使うことで、ChiefsのRPOを止めていたと語られている。
Perfect example on the second play. 2 man, with two in press and Dean ready to jump the hitch. Mahomes pulls it but has nowhere to go. pic.twitter.com/MZGYrOJD5O

The @Buccaneers played 2 man (2 deep safeties in zone and man coverage underneath) on (11) 1st and 2nd down snaps last night. 2man is a predominantly 3rd & 7+ coverage.
— Dan Orlovsky (@danorlovsky7) 2021
They went into stop the early RPO’s with 2man. Super smart by Bowles.
Nice coverage vs. route concept. Well executed E-T game to get pressure. This play vs. this coverage in the area of the field is like deja-vu. Keep watching. pic.twitter.com/cbkPa4bUxC

Sail concept
I was expecting a decent amount of Sail concepts from the Chiefs and the Bucs defense were ready for them, too. Nickel does a good job of sinking and then rallying to tackle.

Pass rush again making the pocket edgy for Mahomes doesn’t allow him to try the tougher Sail throw. pic.twitter.com/6jZujhP5lh
Look at the Bucs DBs communicate at the bottom of the screen when Kelce motions into a Stack alignment with Hill. They sort out the Chiefs PA concept with ease and force Mahomes to check it down. pic.twitter.com/FC8vg5e5BN

Buccaneers Offense
Bucs had been pounding away with Duo on this drive and also pull their OL at one of the lowest rates in the league.
— Nate Tice (@Nate_Tice) 2021
Brady using a quick cadence forced the Chiefs defense to react quickly and when it’s against an uncommon play from the offense, there’s gashes to be had. https://t.co/PiRBK7mIZR
Copycat league. The Bucs coming into the game were bottom third in the league using RPO's from the gun. This "Y Slide" RPO where they read the end was a tendency breaker fot them. They saw the Bills use it with success vs KC in same situation and the results were the same. pic.twitter.com/Ltzgq4lSZw
